How to Reset Your Tide.lamp

Modified on Tue, 23 Dec, 2025 at 10:10 AM

Before you begin:

  • When you unplug the USB cable during this process, please do so from the charger end, not from the Tide.lamp itself. This helps protect your lamp and keeps everything working beautifully for years to come.
  • You don’t need to reset your Tide.lamp if you want to change your tide location. You can easily update your location at any time using the TideLight app on your smartphone or tablet.

Remove the Tide.lamp from your phone app

  1. Its best to remove the old lamp from your app before resetting it. Open up the app.
  2. Go to the little drop down icon next to the location on your Tide.lamp, and select remove location.
  3. If that was the only location you had set up in the app, you will now be prompted to set it up again. If not, you will need to click the "+" sign in the top right-hand corner of the app to add the Lamp. When you are ready, move on to the next step - "Resetting your lamp".

Resetting Your Lamp

  1. Plug the USB cable into your Tide.lamp.

  2. Wait for the status light to turn green.

  3. Unplug the cable from the charger end once the green status light appears.

  4. Repeat this process 6 times:

    • Plug in → Wait for green → Unplug (from charger)

What You'll See

  • After the sixth time, the status light will flash green.
  • Your Tide.lamp will restart and move into Setup Mode.

Setup Mode

  • The status light will glow yellow.

  • Your lamp will show a quick version of the tide routine. You’ll see the blue and yellow colours moving faster than normal.

  • Your Tide.lamp is ready to set up again and enjoy.
  • You can now use the Tidelight App to set up your Tide.lamp from your phone or tablet.
